The Christian Science Monitor provides in-depth coverage of stories often not found elsewhere. Rather than relying on wire services, the Monitor depends primarily on its own staff and has bureaus in eleven countries. There is a slight but detectable influence of Christian Science, in Medicine in particular. There is also in interesting lack of reference to age. BBC coverage on medicine is preferred. Church membership is not a requirement of employment.
