Maxthon appears to support both "OldIE" dependent web sites and HTML5 websites. It has its own "plugins" but supports a lot of IE plugins too. You can download it (free) from Filehippo. http://filehippo.com/download_maxthon/ In modest testing, it performed well with no problems.
