LSNet Staffer Tarvid to Provide Consulting to RTI on Bangladesh NSDP Project
James Tarvid has been selected by Research Triangle Institute to consult on administrative research for the Bangladesh NSDP Project. In particular, Tarvid will advise on gleaning data from a cost study and to analyze price elasticity in service delivery.
Tarvid, an engineer with LSNet, has worked in international health analysis since 1985. The primary objective has been to improve policy in health care delivery especially for women and children. With modest successes in far away places like Bangladesh and Bolivia, Tarvid said "I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in health policy issues in the Third World, and regret the lack of opportunity for citizens to do the same in the United States. Perhaps Michael Moore's "Sicko" will change things".
