The Wired Road (http://www.thewiredroad.net) is an open access open
services network being built by the counties of Carroll and Grayson
and the City of Galax. In the first quarter of this year the Wired
Road will be opening up the network to service providers interested in
providing services to businesses and residences in the wireless
coverage area.

This meeting will provide an overview of the Wired Road network and
the future growth plans for the wireless network and plans for the
future fiber network. There will also be a a demonstration of the
PacketFront management tools which will be available for service
providers on the Wired Road to use to manage their services and
subscribers on the network.

Design Nine will host this meeting for service providers interested in
joining the Wired Road on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in the Carroll
County Government Center located at 605 Pine Street in Hillsville,
Virginia at 2 PM. The meeting will be held in the County Board of
Supervisors Meeting Room on the 2nd floor.
