Data manipulation is far easier in MySQL than in SPSS. SPSS will operate directly on MySQL databases. We will show you how here. (Assuming you have already set up your MySQL ODBC connection.)

• Create new query using Database Capture Wizard
• Add data source
• System DSN, select the MYSQL DataBase Connection previously configured.
• Drag a table onto the "Retrieve" box
• Click Finish
