Democracy Now

Democracy NowDemocracy Now! is a national, daily, independent, award-winning news program airing on over 450 stations in North America. Pioneering the largest public media collaboration in the U.S., Democracy Now! is broadcast on Pacifica, NPR, community, and college radio stations; on public access, PBS, satellite television (DISH network: Free Speech TV ch. 9415 and Link TV ch. 9410; DIRECTV: Link TV ch. 375); as a "podcast," and on the internet.

LinkTVLink TV is an independent non-commercial American satellite television network providing diverse perspectives on world and national issues. The network reaches one out of four American homes. Link TV broadcasts a mix of documentaries, global and national news, the music of diverse cultures and participatory programs promoting citizen action. Most of Link TV’s programs have never been broadcast on American television. Select Link TV programs are streamed on the Internet. The network airs translated news programs from the Middle East in its Peabody Award-winning 30-minute program called Mosaic: World News from the Middle East. It also airs English language international news from DW-TV in Germany, as well as various documentaries and world music videos.

BookTV

Each weekend, Book TV features 48 hours of nonfiction books from 8am Saturday to 8am Monday. This web site will enhance information on those books, provide an opportunity to watch or listen to programs you might have missed, and provide additional information not available on the network.

That additional information will include bestseller lists from around the country, opportunities to chat with authors and other readers, information on programming up to four weeks in advance, and background information on authors and publishers.
